About the Artist: Please visit all the Heir Bears who came to this special event just to meet you! I am Jane Woodard and I have been creating real fur bears and other critters, using recycled furs, since 1999. My fur bears are heirloom quality, fully lined with a cotton fabric to stabilize and reinforce the fur. They are created to ensure you can pass them on to your children and grandchildren. You might also find a few mohair and faux fur creations which have been added to the den. I have been featured in articles in Teddy Bear Review (including on the cover) Teddy Bear and Friends and Teddy Bear Times magazines. Severa1 of my bears have been the proud winners of highly coveted URSA Awards in 2016 and 2020.

 "MARVIN the Mouse" "Marvin" wasn't fast enough today and got his tail caught in a mouse trap! But he's okay now. No injury to his tail. And the cheese is gone so it couldn't have been too bad.
"Marvin"
the mouse was created from
a recycled silvery-gray mink fur coat. He has pink suede paw pads,
vintage black shoebutton eyes, and a hand-embroidered pink Perle cotton nose.
The insides of his big
mouse ears are also pink suede.
His long mouse tail is gray suede. He even has a few
very long horsehair whiskers.
"Marvin"
wears a couple of
narrow ribbons tied in bows around his neck. He is 5-way jointed and
firmly stuffed with polyester fiberfill and some pellets for added
weight. He comes with a sewn-in tag and a removable hang tag. Adoption Fee: $225.00 plus shipping

 "KENYA" "Kenya" is 15" tall and was created from a recycled dark tan sheared mink fur coat and white Mongolian lamb fur. The Mongolian lamb mane has light brown streaks running through it. He is fully jointed and stuffed with polyester fiberfill. He has matching dark tan suede paw pads, imported glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered brown Perle cotton nose."Kenya" has a long tail with Mongolian lamb fur on the end of it.  "GERTIE the Elephant"
"Gertie"
is
10" high when seated, and was created from
a recycled gray mink fur coat. She is
fully jointed and
firmly stuffed with polyester
fiberfill. She has dark gray paw pads and matching inner ears, and black
shoebutton eyes.

"COMET"
"Comet"
is 11" tall and was created from
a recycled dark brown sheared nutria fur coat. The inset is
sheared beaver fur. He has brown suede paw pads,
dark glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered brown Perle cotton nose.
Sheared nutria is an unusual fur, very
soft like sheared beaver, but I was assured by
the furrier this is actually nutria.
"Comet"
wears an animal print
ribbon tied in bow around his neck.
He is 5-way jointed and
stuffed with polyester fiberfill and some pellets for added

"HARMONY"
"Harmony"
is 14" tall and was created from
a recycled sheared rabbit fur coat. This fur was dyed by the
furrier and is a mix of navy blue, cranberry,
gray and some green. She has cranberry suede paw pads,
black glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered navy
blue Perle cotton nose.
"Harmony"
wears a
cranberry ribbon tied in a bow around her neck.
She is 5-way jointed and

 "TAFFY"
"Taffy"
is 11" tall and was created from
a recycled lynx fur coat. She has tan suede paw pads,
glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered Perle cotton nose.
Lynx is a luxury fur, extremely soft.
Recycled coats are so difficult to find, this
bear is one-of-a-kind.
"Taffy"
is 5-way jointed and
stuffed with polyester fiberfill and some pellets for added

 "MOLLY"
"Molly"
is
13" tall and was created from
a very luxurious cream-colored mink fur
coat. She is
fully jointed and
stuffed with polyester
fiberfill. She has matching cream-colored suede paw pads, black glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered
black Perle cotton nose.
"Molly" is going to a posh luncheon with her friends and is wearing a handmade black velvet hat adorned with long green ostrich feathers and a fancy vintage pin. The hat ties under her chin with a matching green ribbon bow. "Molly" has a sewn-in tag and a removable hang tag. Adoption Fee: $225.00 plus shipping & insurance  |
"SKYE the Lop-Eared Bunny"
"Skye"
is
a 12" tall lop-eared bunny, created from
an ultra-sparse sky blue mohair fabric
and matching blue Mongolian lamb fur. She is
fully jointed and
firmly stuffed with polyester
fiberfill and some pellets in her tummy. She has matching sky-blue paw pads,
black glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered
blue Perle cotton nose. She also
has a few long horsehair whiskers. And
don't forget about her cute bunny tail, also
made from blue Mongolian lamb fur.
"Skye" is wearing blue and white ribbons tied in bows on her ears, and a floral piece around her neck. She is a very "girlie" bunny, sweet and petite. "Skye" brings some seed packets with her so you can plant a garden and grow her favorite foods ... carrots and lettuce! "Skye" has a sewn-in tag and a removable hang tag.  "ALFRED"
"Alfred"
is 24" tall and is created from a recycled mink fur coat. He
is one-of-a-kind. He has
dark brown suede paw pads and amber glass eyes. His nose is hand-stitched
with a brown Perle cotton thread which is lightly waxed. He is
fully jointed and firmly stuffed with polyester fiberfill.
He is made entirely of mink fur, even underneath his clothes.
"Alfred" wears a vintage black velvet 2-piece suit with white cotton lace trim around the neck, down the front of the jacket, at the cuffs and at the bottom of the pants. I believe the suit was handmade, probably for a young man's first photograph. "Alfred" is the perfect match for a Victorian style bear or doll. "Alfred" has a sewn-in tag and a removable hang tag.  "CASPER"
"Casper"
stands on all fours and is approximately 18"
long and 10" high. He was created from
a light tan sparse mohair. He is fully jointed and
stuffed with polyester
fiberfill. He has matching light tan wool felt paw pads, black glass eyes, and a hand-embroidered
brown Perle cotton nose.
"Casper" is wearing a bell around his neck that hangs from a fuzzy brown yarn. He is one-of-a-kind and very gentle. He promises not to bite! "Casper" has a sewn-in tag and a removable hang tag. Adoption Fee: $175.00 plus shipping & insurance |
