Monroe is now a celebrity, having just been on the cover of Teddy Bear Review.  The story of his "birth" is told in a feature article in the same issue (April 2009).  The original Monroe was donated to Good Bears of the World for one of their fund-raising auctions. 

This Monroe is quite happy being in the limelight.  The only difference is his bow, although it has the same blue & brown color combination. 

Monroe is a little 11"  bear created from an autumn haze mink stole.  He has dark brown suede paw pads and amber German glass eyes.  His nose has been hand-stitched with a dark brown Perle cotton thread which has been lightly waxed.
